KOTA MARUDU, Feb 1 (Bernama) -- Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili has urged the people to accept innovation and make it a culture.
"Innovation is not owned by anyone but by all and can help strengthen the people. It is the key to prosperity and civilisation," he said when opening Sabah Invention and Design Exhibition (SINDEX 2010) here Monday.
Ongkili said innovation and creativity cut across all levels of society encompassing all aspects of life, progress and development.
It created new ways to make work processes simpler to increase productivity and quality of work.
"Employees from all levels in the organisation from the management to the support groups can be fully involved in the innovation process," he added.
