PSC's Preliminary Report To Be Tabled On Thursday
PUTRAJAYA, Nov 29 (Bernama) -- The preliminary report of the Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) for Electoral Reform is expected to be tabled in Parliament on Thursday.
PSC chairman Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili said two of the six public hearings had been completed and the committee was happy with the feedback.
"I think in my list there are more than 100 proposals, so we have to sit through this and look at those what I call important and urgent.
"We are supposed to report by the first week of April next year, but we have asked the Parliament to give us a chance to table the interim report on the last day of this sitting," he told reporters after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Mimos Berhad and 13 electric and electronic (E&E) industry partners for shared services in Failure Analysis and Wafer Testing, here Tuesday.
The first PSC's public hearing was held on Nov 11, at the Parliament House, while the second was in Sabah for two days (Nov 25).
The next hearing is scheduled to be held in Sarawak (Dec 8-9), Penang (Dec 15-16), Kelantan (Jan 7-8) and Johor (Jan 12-13).
